Inspiration & December Classes

Happening Around my Spinney:

The day after Thanksgiving, snow hit us and it has been so fun to see our kids enjoying the snow outside by sledding and building snow structures. We have enjoyed having our Solo Stove out in the cold and laugh as the kids warm up next to it and we see steam coming off of their wet, play-ridden snow clothes. We are already in our sequence of "go play outside in the snow for a while" and then "come warm up by the fire and have some hot cocoa."

I finished a long project right before Thanksgiving as well: the hand quilting of a huge King size quilt for a gentleman. He had started it, but needed help finishing it (I won't tell you how long it took me, but it was a long time). The day before Thanksgiving, my mom accompanied me and we were able to take it to him. I learned a lot and he was very grateful for the help.

Upcoming Classes

Introductory Class

at Warman Cozy

The next two Introductory Classes for kids (8+) and teens is on December 13 & 30, 2025 from 1:30-3:30pm.

A great stand alone for someone who needs to get a little more familiar with their sewing machine or anyone who wants to join our continual sewing program, Stitch School.

Our Winter Stitch School Session for January and February is ready for sign ups. This is the perfect time to take our Introductory class so that your student can register in the Winter Session.

Stitch School Christmas Special

Calling all kids and teens who've been in Stitch School, attended a Stitch School Introductory Class or have attended one of our Summer Camps...we have a special Christmas class just for you!

We will be making pennant banners just in time for the holidays! You could use it to decorate your room or share with someone you love.
​
In the spirit of the season, we have reduced the cost of this class and hope that you will bring a new/unopened package of diapers, wipes or pull-ups to donate for families opening their homes for short-term fostering. (Larger-size diapers and pullups are most needed in case you are interested.)
​
You will need to bring your own sewing machine or you can rent one for $5 (let us know in the notes at checkout if you need to rent).
​
Full supply list will be sent out prior to class - supplies are minimal but are not included in the class fee.

Embroidery Tutorial!

You can see what I used my last hand embroidery project for right here on my website. It was a fun and easy project. I love adding embroidered details to fun places for a touch of personality!

There will be some more inspiration coming soon as I work on different projects for the New Year! I hope this December stays cozy and full of good memory making for you and yours!
